Ingredients

Mulled “wine” mocktail
  • 2 litre (8 cups) red grape juice
  • 4 strips orange rind
  • 2 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 12 cloves
  • 3 fresh bay leaves, plus extra to serve
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme, plus extra to serve
  • 1 thinly sliced small orange

Method

Mulled “wine” mocktail

    Combine ingredients except sliced orange in a large saucepan. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes (do not boil).

    Cool; refrigerate until cold. Strain mixture into a large jug; discard solids.

    Add sliced orange, extra fresh bay leaves and extra fresh sprigs of thyme to mixture. Serve over ice.
