Slow-cooked char siu pork ribs
- 2.5 kilogram american-style pork spare ribs

- 1/2 cup (125ml) char siu sauce
- 2 tablespoon light soy sauce

Method
Slow-cooked char siu pork ribs
-
1Cut rib racks into pieces to fit 4.5-litre (18-cup) slow cooker. Heat peanut oil in large frying pan; cook ribs, in batches, until browned all over.
-
2Meanwhile, combine sauces, juice, ginger, garlic, chilli and sesame oil in jug; brush all over ribs. Place ribs in cooker; pour over remaining sauce. Cook, covered, on low, 7 hours.
-
3Remove ribs from sauce; cover to keep warm. Place sauce in medium saucepan; bring to the boil. Boil, uncovered, 5 minutes or until sauce is thickened slightly.
-
4Serve ribs drizzled with sauce.
Notes
Ask the butcher to cut the rib racks into pieces that will fit your slow cooker.
