Apple and filo tarts

Apple and Filo Tarts
- cooking oil spray
- 6 sheets filo pastry
- 3 golden delicious apples, cored and quartered
- 1汤匙黄油,融化了
- 1/4 cup flaked almonds
- 1 tablespoon demerara sugar
- icing sugar, for dusting
- ice-cream, to serve
Method
Apple and Filo Tarts

1Preheat oven to 190°C (170°C fan-forced). Lightly spray 2 baking trays with oil.

2Unwrap filo pastry and cover with a damp towel while working. Spray each sheet with cooking oil. Fold sheets in half and spray again.

3Crumple 1 folded sheet loosely into a 12-13cm round, pulling it gently inwards to make folds. Repeat with remaining pastry sheets to make 6-8 rounds. Transfer to baking trays.

4Cut apples into thin slices, arranging them among folds of filo, until tarts are filled. Brush with melted butter. Scatter with almonds and sprinkle with sugar.

5Bake for 15 minutes, until golden. Dust with icing sugar and serve warm with ice-cream.
Notes
Red apples can be used, if preferred.
