Ingredients

Asparagus stir-fry
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 500 gram pork fillet, trimmed and sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 large red capsicum, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch asparagus, cut diagonally into 4 cm lengths
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoon lee kum kee soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • 4 green onions (shallots), diagonally sliced
  • steamed rice or noodles, to serve

Method

Asparagus stir-fry
  • 1
    Heat half of oil in a wok or large frying pan on medium heat. Add half of pork and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining pork.

    Heat remaining oil in same wok. Stir-fry onion and garlic for 1 minute. Add capsicum and asparagus and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.

    Mix in sauces. Bring to the boil, stirring. Return pork to wok with green onions. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
