Ingredients

Aussie burgers
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 500 gram beef mince
  • 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce, plus extra, to serve
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 4 damper rolls, halved, toasted
  • mixed green salad leaves, sliced roma tomatoes, beetroot slices, cheese slices, tomato chutney, to serve

Method

    Preheat a barbecue plate or frying pan on high.

    Heat 1 teaspoon olive oil in a frying pan on medium; saute onion 3 minutes, until tender. Combine onion with mince, parsley, egg, tomato sauce and worcestershire sauce in a bowl; season and mix well.

    Make 4 large, flat patties. Brush barbecue with remaining oil; cook 3-4 minutes each side, until cooked through.

    Assemble burgers on bread rolls with salad ingredients, cheese, chutney and extra sauce. Serve.
