Ingredients
Beef bourguignon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 kilogram diced beef steak
- 2 small brown onions, chopped
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 400 gram can whole tomatoes
- 40 gram packet beef bourguignon seasoning
- 200 gram button mushrooms, halved or quartered if large
- 1 3/4 cup (430ml) water
- mashed potato (optional), to serve
- chopped flat-leaf parsley, to serve
Method
Beef bourguignon

1Heat oil in a large frying pan on high. Add beef and cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes, until starting to brown. Stir in onions and carrot, and cook for 2 minutes.

2Reduce heat to medium and add tomatoes, bourguignon seasoning, mushrooms and water. Cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes, until meat is very tender. Serve with mashed potato and sprinkled with parsley.
