Bocconcini and prosciutto bites
  • 12片火腿
  • 12 bocconcini balls
  • 12 basil or sage leaves
  • 12 toothpicks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus extra, to serve
  • balsamic vinegar, to serve

Method

Bocconcini and prosciutto bites

    Place prosciutto slices on a flat surface. Position 1 bocconcini ball at end of each prosciutto slice. Season with pepper. Top with a basil leaf. Roll up to encase filling and secure with a toothpick.

    Heat oil in a frying pan on medium. Sear parcels, turning, for 1 minute, until outsides are well coloured.

    Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

These may be served without being fried.
