Ingredients
Choc-caramel brownie slice
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 125 gram butter, chopped
- 150克黑巧克力切碎
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup self-raising flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 380 gram can caramel top'n' fill, mixed well
- cocoa powder, for dusting
Method
Choc-caramel brownie slice

1Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease an 18 X 28cm slice pan. Line base and sides with baking paper.

2In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, chocolate and water. Stir over low heat for 4-5 minutes, until smooth. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl. Let cool for 10 minutes.

3Sift flours and cocoa together. Fold into the chocolate mixture along with the egg until well combined.

4Spoon half the mixture into prepared pan. Drizzle with caramel. Carefully cover with remaining cake mixture.

5Bake for 35-40 minutes, until cooked when tested. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares. Dust with cocoa. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
The caramel is available where you purchase condensed milk in the supermarket.
