Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 125 gram butter, melted, plus 40 g extra
- 2/3 cup smooth peanut butter

Method

1Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan forced. Grease and line a 26x16cm (base measurement) slice pan with baking paper, extending paper at long sides for handles.

2Sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar. Whisk melted butter, 1/3 cup of the peanut butter and egg in a large jug. Add to dry ingredients; mix well. Press mixture into base of prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven.

3Meanwhile, combine remaining peanut butter, extra butter and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until melted and combined. Stir in chocolate until melted and smooth.

4Spread chocolate mixture over slice. Chill for 2 hours or until set. Cut into pieces to serve.
