Ingredients

Creamy mushroom and bacon sauce
  • 20 gram butter
  • 4 rashers bacon, chopped
  • 300 gram button mushrooms, sliced
  • 100 gram shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 cup (375ml) chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 cup (375ml) cream
  • 1/2 cup (40g) grated parmesan cheese

Method

Creamy mushroom and bacon sauce

    Heat butter in a large frying pan; add bacon and mushrooms, cook, stirring, until browned lightly. Add garlic; cook, Stirring, until fragrant.

    Stir in stock; boil, uncovered, until reduced by half. Add cream; bring to the boil. Reduce heat simmer, uncovered, until thickened slightly.

Notes

Sauce suitable to freeze. Not suitable to microwave.
