Flower bouquet
Delight your children with this homemade birthday cake. Make the most of supermarket items and look for packets of lollies that will help create this beautiful floral bouquet design.

Ingredients
Cake
- 340 gram packet butter cake mix
- 185 gram butter
- 2 1/4 cup icing sugar mixture
- 2 tablespoon milk
- yellow food colouring
Decorations
- 雀斑
- spearmint leaves
- strawberry super sour lassos
- green smarties
- yellow smarties
- green sprinkles
Method

1Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Lightly grease and line a 20cm round cake pan.

2Make cake mix following packet instructions. Pour into prepared pan. Smooth top. Bake 35-40 minutes, until cooked when tested. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

3Using an electric mixer, beat butter in a small bowl, until pale. Gradually add icing sugar and milk, beating constantly, until combined. Tint icing yellow.

4Place cake on board. Spread icing over top and sides of cold cake,

5Decorations: place 3 freckles on cake. Arrange spearmint leaves around freckles, for petals. Cut sour lassos into 3 lengths for stems. Tie extra into a bow; press into side of cake near stems.

6Decorate sides of cake with smarties. Scatter with sprinkles, to serve.
Notes
Make this cake into a garden scene by adding jelly worms and other edible garden creatures such as hugs or lizards in bright colours.
