Grandma's brandy butter
  • 125 gram unsalted butter
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, sliced lengthways, seeds scrapped
  • 1 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Method

Grandma's brandy butter

    Place butter and seeds from half a vanilla bean into a bowl and beat with electric beaters for a few minutes until creamy.

    Gradually add icing sugar and brandy, beating well and scraping down sides of bowl between each addition, until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until required.
