  • 4 nectarines, halved, stones removed
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon marsala
  • 1/4 cup (35g) slivered almonds, toasted, plus extra to serve
  • 1/2 cup (120g) thick cream

Method

    Place nectarine halves in a shallow heatproof dish, cut-side up. Top with combined sugar and marsala. Cook under a preheated grill for 10-12 minutes until bubbling and golden.

    Meanwhile, fold almonds through cream. Serve nectarine halves hot or at room temperature topped with a dollop of almond cream and scattered with extra almonds.
