Ingredients

Haloumi and allspice lamb kebabs
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500 gram diced lamb
  • 200 gram haloumi cheese, cut into 2cm pieces

Method

    In a medium bowl, combine allspice, pepper, garlic, juice, oil and lamb.

    Thread lamb and cheese, alternately, onto skewers.

    Cook kebabs on heated oiled grill plate until browned all over and cooked as desired.

Notes

You need to soak eight bamboo skewers in cold water for at least an hour before use to prevent them from splintering or burning during cooking.
