Ingredients
- 1 kilogram small chicken wings
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 2汤匙honey, warmed
- 2汤匙sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- cooking oil spray
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 large carrot, cut into matchsticks
- 1/4 small red cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 chinese cabbage (wombok), shredded
- 1/3 cup chopped coriander
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2汤匙lemon juice
- lemon wedges, to serve
Method
-
1Place chicken in a large shallow glass or ceramic dish. Whisk hoisin sauce, honey, sesame oil and garlic in a medium jug; pour half the mixture over chicken. Turn to coat. Cover with plastic food wrap: chill for 30 minutes, turning occasionally, to marinate. Reserve remaining marinade.
-
2Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced). Place 1 cup water in a large roasting pan. Spray a wire rack with oil, then place in prepared pan. Drain chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Place chicken on rack.
-
3Bake for 15 minutes. Brush with reserved marinade. Bake for 15 minutes more. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 5 minutes or until glaze is sticky and seeds are toasted.
-
4Combine carrot, cabbage and coriander in a large bowl. Whisk mayonnaise, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon hot water in a small jug; add to carrot mixture. Toss to combine. Serve chicken with salad and lemon wedges.
