Ingredients
Indian- style mince
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoon finely grated ginger
- 2 fresh green chillies, seeded, chopped
- 500 gram beef mince
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander
- steamed rice, lemon wedges, to serve
Method
Indian- style mince

1Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium.

2Add onion and cook for 3 minutes, stirring, until soft and golden. Add garlic, ginger and chilli and cook for 2 minutes, until fragrant. Add mince and cook for 5 minutes, breaking up lumps with a spoon, until no longer pink.

3Stir in turmeric and 1/3 cup hot water.

4Reduce heat to low. Cover, cook for 5 minutes. Stir through garam masala, lemon juice and coriander. Serve with rice and lemon wedges.
Notes
This dish, which is used as a filling for popular samosas, is known as keema in Indian cuisine. The word simply means minced meat.
