Lamb kebabs (keftas)
This tasty lamb mince kebabs are spiced with cumin and ginger, and enlivened by mint and lemon. Quick, easy and a delicious mid-week meal.

Ingredients
Lamb kebabs (keftas)
- 500 gram (1 pound) minced (ground) lamb
- 1 medium_piece brown onion (150g), chopped finely
- 1 teaspoon each ground cumin and ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon each ground ginger, cinnamon and hot paprika
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh mint
- 1/2 cup (140g) yogurt
Method
Lamb kebabs (keftas)

1Combine lamb, onion, spices and half the mint in medium bowl; season.

2Shape lamb mixture into 8 sausages; thread onto 8 bamboo skewers.

3Cook skewers, in batches, in heated oiled large frying pan until browned and cooked through.

4Sprinkle skewers with remaining mint; serve with yogurt and lemon wedges, if you like.
Notes
Soak skewers in water for at least an hour before using to prevent burning during cooking.
