Lamb pide
A traditional Turkish dish that is great for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients
Lamb pide
- 2 brown onions (160g), chopped finely
- 2 clove garlic, crushed
- 250 gram lamb mince
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/4 teaspoon hot paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 turkish breads
- 1/4 cup (25g) finely grated low-fat mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
Method

1Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan forced.

2Cook onion and garlic in oiled medium saucepan, stirring, until onion softens. Add mince, paste, paprika and cumin; cook, stirring, until mince is cooked through.

3Split breads; place bases on oven tray. Spread with mince mixture; sprinkle with cheese and mint. Replace tops; bake pide about 10 minutes or until bread is crisp. Cut each pide in half to serve.
