Little dampers with herbs
Just a touch of dried mixed herbs adds something special to these little dampers. Serve them on their own warm with butter, or with a piping hot bowl of vegetable soup.

- 1又1/2杯(225g) self-raising flour
- 50 gram (1½ ounces) butter
- 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
- 3/4 cup (180ml) milk
Method

1Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F. Oil oven tray.

2Sift 1½ cups (225g) self-raising flour into large bowl; rub in 50g (1½ ounces) butter. Stir in 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs.

3Add about ¾ cup (180ml) milk to flour mixture; mix to a soft, sticky dough. Turn dough onto floured surface; knead lightly until smooth.

4Divide dough into four equal pieces; knead into rounds; place on tray. Bake about 20 minutes or until browned lightly.
