Ingredients

橙色sherbet
  • 1/3 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 3 teaspoon citric acid
  • 1 85g packet orange-flavoured jelly crystals
  • 6 fruit musk sticks

Method

    Sift icing sugar and bicarbonate of soda into a small bowl. Add citric acid and jelly crystals; mix well to combine.

    Spoon sherbet into small bags. Serve with fruit musk sticks to lick and dip.

Notes

Start kids in the kitchen with simple jobs, such as lining cake pans. measuring dry ingredients, choosing mixing bowls and spoons and stirring basic batters. Teach kids proper kitchen hygiene and get them to wipe clean all the work areas before preparation begins. Stay safe in the kitchen. Keep kids far away from the stove when pots are on the boil and cooking is underway; make sure all pot handles face inwards so there's no chance of knocking them over.
