Ingredients
Peanut butter caramel slice
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 eggs, lightly whisked
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 2 380 g cans caramel top 'n' fill
Method

1Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan forced. Grease and line base and sides of a 26x16cm (base measurement) slice pan with baking paper, extending paper at long sides for handles.

2Combine peanut butter, sugar, egg and flour in a medium bowl. Spread over base of prepared pan; level. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and set. Cool completely in pan.

3Place caramel in a medium saucepan over low heat; cook and stir for 7-8 minutes or until caramel becomes thick and reaches a deeper golden brown. Remove pan from heat. Carefully spread caramel over cooled base; level. Cool to room temperature. Cover with plastic food wrap. Chill for 4 hours or until set. Transfer slice to a chopping board. Cut into 16 pieces. Serve.
Notes
Heat a large knife blade under hot running water before cutting slice.
