Pear and almond jaffle

Ingredients
Pear and almond jaffle
- 425 gram can sliced pears, well drained
- 1 sheet frozen sweet puff pastry, quartered
- 1 tablespoon slivered almonds, toasted
- 1/4 teaspoon mixed spice
- cooking oil spray
- icing sugar and ice-cream or custard, to serve
Method
Pear and almond jaffle

1Preheat sandwich maker or jaffle maker according to manufacturer's instructions.

2Arrange pear slices on 2 pastry squares. Sprinkle with almonds and mixed spice. Top with remaining squares and press edges of pastry together to seal.

3Lightly spray sandwich maker with cooking oil. Place pastry parcels in sandwich maker and close.

4Cook for 5-10 minutes, until golden and crisp. Remove and dust with icing sugar. Serve with ice-cream or custard.
