  • 2 cup (340g) seeded dried prunes
  • 1 cup (250ml) orange juice
  • 1 cup (250ml) water
  • 4 x 5cm strips orange rind, sliced thinly
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 cardamon pods, bruised

Method

Stewed prunes with orange

    Place ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, covered, 10 minutes.

    Serve stewed prunes with low-fat yogurt, if desired.
