Sticky chicken with chinese broccoli
- 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 large barbecued chicken, cooled, cut into 8 pieces
- 1 tablespoon vegetable or peanut oil
- 3 clove garlic, thinly sliced lengthwise
- 2 bunches gai lan (chinese broccoli), cut into large pieces
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 3 cup cooked jasmine rice
- 1 fresh long red chilli, thinly sliced
Method

1Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Combine hoisin, honey and 1 tablespoon water in a bowl. Place chicken on prepared tray and brush all over with hoisin mixture. Bake for 15 minutes, basting every 5 minutes, or until skin is crisp and sticky.

2Meanwhile, heat a wok or frying pan over high heat. Add oil; swirl to coat surface. Add garlic; stir-fry for 30 seconds or until starting to brown. Add gai lan and 2 tablespoons water; stir-fry for 2 minutes or until just tender. Stir in oyster sauce.

3Divide rice and gai lan among serving plates. Top with chicken. Sprinkle with chilli.
Notes
Omit the chilli, if you like You'll need to cook 1 cup raw rice to make enough for this recipe.
