Tortellini with ham

Ingredients

Tortellini with ham
  • 375 gram fresh ham and cheese tortellini
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 20 gram butter
  • 200 gram shaved ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)

Method

Tortellini with ham
  • 1
    Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil. Cook pasta 8-10 minutes, or until cooked. Drain well.

    Heat oil and butter together in a frying pan on high. Saute ham and garlic 2-3 minutes, until ham begins to crisp.

    Toss through tortellini, cream, parmesan, parsley; season to taste. Cook, stirring, 1-2 minutes. Serve.

Notes

Bacon, salami or prosciutto maybe used in place of ham. To reduce fat content, use light ham and low-fat cream to reduce fat content.
