Traditional daiquiri
The daiquiri was created in a small Cuban town of the same name by an American engineer, who combined the local spirit (rum) with native limes to make the ultimate pick-me-up after a hot day in the iron mines.

Traditional daiquiri
- 45 millilitre bacardi rum
- 30 millilitre lime juice
- 15 millilitre sugar syrup
- 1 cup ice cubes

1Place ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes; shake vigorously then strain into 120ml martini glass.
