- 1 1/2 cup plain flour, sifted
- 150 gram butter, chilled, chopped
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- pinch cayenne pepper
- 26 peanuts
Method

1Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Line two oven trays with baking paper.

2Combine flour, butter, cheese and cayenne pepper in a food processor. Process until mixture comes together to make a firm dough. Transfer to a bowl. Cover and chill 30 minutes.

3Mould 1 tablespoon of mixture into the shape of a crocked finger. Press peanut firmly into one tip to form a fingernail. Arrange on trays. Repeat with remaining dough.

4Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden. Cool on tray 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
