Chocolate cherry slice
-
1Preheat oven to l80C or l60C fan. Lightly grease and line a 30cm x 20cm slice pan.
-
2Heat chopped chocolate and butter in a saucepan on low heat, stirring, for 3-4 mins, until smooth and combined. Cool for 10 mins.
-
3Whisk eggs into chocolate mixture, then stir in brown sugar, plain flour and desiccated coconut. Fold through hall of Choc Bits.
-
4Spoon mixture into prepared pan. Push cherries into batter and scatter over remaining Choc Bits. Bake for 30-35 mins, until firm. Cool in pan for 10 mins, then turn out onto to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into pieces, scatter with extra coconut and serve.
Notes
Super easy, Make it ahead You can use fresh cherries for this recipe. Just be sure to remove the stones before placing them in the batter. Don't be tempted to add the eggs to the chocolate mixture while it's still hot - the eggs will cook and spoil the recipe.
