French onion meatballs

Ingredients
French onion meatballs
- 500 gram beef mince
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 40 gram packet french onion soup mix
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper, to season
- plain flour, for dusting
- tomato sauce, to serve
Method
French onion meatballs

1In a large bowl, combine mince, onion, breadcrumbs, soup mix, egg and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and season to taste.

2Line oven tray with baking paper. Roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls. Dust with flour to coat. Arrange on tray. Chill 10 minutes.

3Heat a large frying pan on medium. Brush with oil. Cook meatballs 8-10 minutes, turning on all sides until cooked through. Serve hot or cold, with tomato sauce, if liked.
Notes
Make these ahead of time and cook when ready to serve. Great for lunchboxes.
