Ingredients
French toast with berries and almonds
- 1/2杯低脂牛奶(125毫升)
- 2 large eggs
- 1汤匙糖
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 slice thick wholegrain bread
- 1 punnet strawberries, sliced
- 1 punnet blueberries or raspberries
- 2 tablespoon flaked almonds, toasted
- maple syrup or honey, to serve
Method
French toast with berries and almonds

1In a shallow bowl lightly whisk together milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract. Dip bread slices in mixture, turning to coat, set aside to absorb for 1 minute.

2Spray a large frying pan with cooking oil and heat on medium. Lift bread slices from egg mixture with a slotted spatula, letting excess drain off, cook in batches for 2 minutes each side, until puffed and golden. Transfer to heated plates.

3Top french toast with berries and sprinkle with almonds. Drizzle with maple syrup or honey and serve.
