Ingredients
Grilled salmon steaks with wasabi and dill butter
- 100 gram butter, at room temperature
- 3 teaspoon wasabi paste
- 1/4 cup finely chopped dill
- 4 160g salmon fillets, skin on
- 270 gram green tea soba noodles
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon tamari
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 green onion (shallot), finely sliced
Method
Grilled salmon steaks with wasabi and dill butter
-
1To make wasabi and dill butter, use a fork to mash together butter and wasabi. Stir in dill.
-
2Meanwhile, spray a non-stick frying pan with cooking oil and heat on high. Cook salmon, skin side down, for 2-3 minutes, until crisp. Turn and cook for another 1-2 minutes for medium, or until cooked to your liking.
-
3Cook soba noodles according to packet directions. Drain. Add vinegar, tamari, sesame oil and sugar and toss to combine.
-
4Divide noodles and salmon steaks between serving bowls. Top with wasabi and dill butter and scatter over green onion. Serve.
Notes
If you can't find green tea soba noodles, use buckwheat soba or udon noodles.
