Ingredients
Italian-style tuna with peas
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 4 (700g) small tuna steaks
- 1/4 cup (60ml) dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cup (180g) frozen peas
Method
Italian-style tuna with peas

1Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium. Cook garlic and onion 5 minutes, until softened. Remove and set aside.

2Add tuna steaks to same pan; brown 1 minute each side. Return onion and garlic to pan with wine and tomato paste. Stir; season to taste.

3Reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer gently 3 minutes. Stir through peas, until heated through. Serve immediately.
Notes
If you would prefer to leave out the alcohol, you can substitute 1/4 cup of half lemon juice and half water.
