Ingredients
Sardine spread with garlic pide
- 110 gram can sardines in oil, drained
- 1/2 cup egg mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 long red chilli, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 2 tablespoon baby capers, chopped
- 2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 3 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/4 cup rice bran oil
- 1/2 turkish pide, cut in half horizontally
- 2/3 cup coarsely grated tasty cheese
Method
Sardine spread with garlic pide

1Roughly mash sardines and mix with mayonnaise, cream, chilli, parsley, capers, lemon zest and 1/2 clove crushed garlic.

2Preheat an oven-grill to high. Stir remaining garlic through oil to combine. Brush cut side of pide with garlic oil.

3Place pides on a tray under grill, 1-2 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Top with cheese and put back under grill, 1-2 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden brown. Cut pides crosswise into fingers. Serve with sardine spread.
Notes
