Ingredients
Beef and bean patties
- 1/4 cup (6oml) olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 420 gram can four-bean mix, drained, rinsed
- 400 gram beef mince

- 1 tablespoon finely chopped mint
Method

1Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan on medium. Cook onion for 3 minutes, stirring, until soft. Add garlic and spices and cook for another 2 minutes, until fragrant. Set aside to cool.

2Place beans in a food processor and process until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl with onion mixture, mince and coriander Season. With wet hands, shape heaped tablespoons into patties

3Heat remaining oil in pan on high. Cook patties in batches for 3 minutes each side, until browned and cooked through. Drain.

4Combine dip ingredients and serve with patties and salad.
Notes
Reduce or leave out the spices for kid-friendly patties
