Creamy garlic and chilli prawns
  • 30 gram butter
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 long red chilli, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 500 gram green prawns, peeled, deveined, tails intact
  • 2 green onions, sliced, plus extra shredded
  • 300 millilitre pouring cream
  • steamed rice, to serve

Method

Creamy garlic and chilli prawns

    Heat oil and butter together in a large frying pan on high. When bubbling, add garlic and chilli and sauté, 1-2 minutes.

    Add curry powder and cook for 30 seconds, stirring. Add prawns and onions, stirring for 2-3 minutes until prawns begin to colour.

    Pour in cream and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, 1-2 minutes, until sauce has thickened and prawns are cooked through. Season to taste.

    Serve with rice, topped with shredded green onion.
